SMS Terms and Conditions

Effective date: October 12, 2026

1. Program description

Carolina Nuclear Group, LLC ("Carolina Nuclear Group," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates an internal employee text messaging program (the "Program"). Through the Program, the Company sends text messages, including group text messages, to its employees and authorized personnel on their mobile phones using the Office@Hand business communications platform.

The Program is used for internal, non-marketing communications only, such as:

  • Work schedules, shift changes, and dispatch or assignment notices

  • Job site, safety, weather, and emergency alerts

  • Operational updates, reminders, and meeting or training notices

  • Coordination among team members working on a project

The Program is not used to send promotional or marketing messages to the public.

2. Who may participate

The Program is open only to current employees, and other personnel authorized by the Company, who have provided a mobile number to the Company for work-related communications.

3. Consent and opt-in

By providing your mobile number to the Company for work communications and agreeing to receive text messages (for example, on an employee onboarding form, employee contact information form, or written or electronic acknowledgment), you consent to receive text messages from Carolina Nuclear Group at that number, including messages sent using an automated system or group messaging. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of employment, and you may opt out at any time as described below. Opting out does not affect your job; your supervisor will use another reasonable means to reach you about work matters.

Employees may also opt in by texting START to the Company's Program number after receiving instructions from Human Resources or their supervisor.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on work activity, schedules, and operational needs.

5. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile carrier and plan. Carolina Nuclear Group does not charge you to receive messages.

6. How to opt out

You can cancel participation at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and no further messages from the Program. To rejoin, reply START or contact Brooks Shealy at the contact information below.

7. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us:

8. Supported carriers and carrier liability

The Program is available on major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless provider and is not guaranteed.

9. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your mobile number current by notifying the Company of any change.

  • Do not forward or disclose Program messages that contain confidential, safety-sensitive, or proprietary information, or any information subject to export control, to anyone who is not authorized to receive it.

  • Do not use the Program to send harassing, unlawful, or inappropriate content. Messages sent through the Program are subject to the Company's employee handbook and acceptable-use policies.

  • Do not text sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers or financial account numbers) through the Program.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Program is governed by our Privacy Policy below. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

11. Changes to the Program or these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Program, or update these Terms, at any time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date. Continued participation after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Program is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carolina Nuclear Group is not liable for delays, failures, or errors in message delivery, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Program. Text messaging is not a substitute for emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms changes the terms of your employment or any rights you have under applicable employment law.
